FANS (Future Air Navigation System)
Boeing B737-800NG (EASA FTD Level 2)
Theory + training FANS 180min (Future Air Navigation System) Boeing B737-800NG (EASA FTD Level 2)
The FANS (Future Air Navigation System) course contains everything the pilot of tomorrow needs to know about the constantly advancing technology in aviation. We will see in theory and in practice how the old, proven navigation techniques can be compared with the new ones and will use numerous examples in the simulator to demonstrate what the future will look like. We will look at the good old ILS (Instrument Landing System) and Inertial Reference System and then switch to GPS-based methods such as RNAV (Area Navigation) and IAN approaches. Since technology and its progress never sleeps, this course is constantly updated. The aim of the course is to prepare today's pilots for tomorrow's procedures and give them an insight into new systems and update their knowledge. For max 1 person a 180min, 60min in the theory room and 120min in the cockpit.
